When the alert comes too late
Reopened HYROX places go fast. In the last 14 days, sold-out race days came back 2,189 times across 50 races, and half were gone again within 35 minutes. Only 52% were still on sale 30 minutes after coming back. (Live numbers: how fast reopened spots sell out.)
The problem
On Race Radar's free plan, alerts come bundled into one email an hour. So many of them land late: of the clicks from our alerts to the official shop between 9 and 14 October, 46% arrived after the place had already sold out again.
Until 12 October, those clicks simply landed on a sold-out page in the official shop, with no explanation. To the person clicking, it looked like a broken alert.
What we changed
Since 12 October, when someone on the free plan clicks an alert and that day has already sold out again, Race Radar checks the official shop at that moment and tells them what happened: the day came back, it sold out again (and how fast, when we know), why they missed it, and what an instant alert would have done. They can still open the shop.
Race Pass and Pro users never see this page: their alerts arrive the moment Race Radar sees a day reopen, and their links go straight to the shop.

It's a small sample, and we'll keep counting. What it suggests already: the moment you miss a place is the moment an instant alert matters most, and people would rather know what happened than land on a sold-out page.
What we don't know yet: whether the people who upgraded have got their place. They now get every opening instantly on their phone, and we'll update this page when we know.
